  If you are ever in Jefferson City and want to eat a good meal DO NOT go to ROSCOE'S! I get to spend my anniversary vomiting in the bathroom because of the revolting food. When I called them...after getting hung up on twice and being told they figured I would want a refund. I was told prove it bitch by the man on the phone who then hung up on me a third time. Super classy & professional don't you think. It cost me, my boyfriend and my sister $30 to eat at this place if that's what you want to call it. We switched plates in hopes that it might help! Yeah right 30 dollars for crap. The tea tasted like, well I couldn't exactly put my finger on it, either urine or rust. The gravy was of a color I've never seen before and from who knows what animal. It was also burnt and covering almost all of the food on both my and my boyfriend's plates. So we had no choice but to try it. The corn was brown. I was later told that it was due to them putting butter in it. Then half of my meal never came.  She said that she figured we would ask for a refund then but since we didn't they won't give one now! I then informed her that had I known when I walked in the door that I would be sick later I would have saved myself the trouble. At this rate I could have stuck my hand down my throat in the parking lot and saved myself the $30. During my first phone call I was told that everything is made fresh and homemade HA! I found it incredibly weird considering that our plates came out in around five minute. This is something I would regularly not complain about. I just thought at the time was odd since we all ordered things that even in an alternate universe could never have been cooked in less than five minutes only reheated.  I went ahead and paid for the three barely touched plates not wanting to be mean. But now three hours later we are all sick. My boyfriend started out with diarrhea and then vomiting and I suddenly began vomiting uncontrollably. Out of frustration of this day being my 3 year anniversary and knowing that I would not be enjoying my dinner because of being sick from eating there. My anniversary was going to be spent either in the E.R. or my bathroom floor. I wish I was exaggerating but I'm not. My only hope is that my nightmarish experience will be a warning to future patrons. STAY CLEAR!!!
